Bats were blistered as TCA defeated David Posnack Jewish Day 18-12 on Thursday.
Hannah Rosenbarger showed a strong eye at the plate in the victory for TCA, as she walked three times.
TCA opened up scoring in the first inning. They scored two runs when Mariel Lagoc homered.
After David Posnack Jewish Day scored two runs in the top of the second, The Warriors answered with two of their own. David Posnack Jewish Day scored when they scored on a stolen base during A Meindstein’s at-bat. Then Meindstein singled, driving in one. TCA then answered when Jeilyn Caminero singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.
TCA took the lead for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Dyana Josaphat singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run and Rachael Goosen grounded out, scoring one run.
The Warriors notched seven runs in the fifth inning. Josaphat, Alyssa Jean-Gilles, Goosen, Rosenbarger, Caminero, and Allison Eloy all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Lagoc was the winning pitcher for TCA. She lasted seven innings, allowing ten hits and 12 runs while striking out five.
TCA totaled nine hits. Lagoc, Caminero, and Josaphat each racked up multiple hits for TCA. Josaphat, Caminero, and Lagoc each collected two hits to lead TCA. Rosenbarger led TCA with eight stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 23 stolen bases.
