Two Pitchers Work Together As TCA Shuts Out Boca Raton Christian

TCA defeated Boca Raton Christian 15-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Angel Tiburcio struck out Blake Calder to finish off the game.

Tiburcio led the Warriors to victory by driving in six runs. He went 3-for-3 at the plate. Tiburcio drove in runs on a home run in the first, a home run in the second, and a double in the third.

TCA notched eight runs in the third inning. Warriors contributing to the big inning included Jorge Zambrano, Tiburcio, Kaeber Rog, Ariel Antigua, Immanuel Regales, and Fernando Gonzalez, who all drove in runs.

Zambrano led the Warriors to victory on the pitcher’s mound. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out five and walking one. Tiburcio threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Tiburcio recorded the last three outs to earn the save for TCA.

The Warriors racked up 11 hits. Tiburcio and Gonzalez each managed three hits to lead TCA. Rog led the Warriors with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.

The Warriors will take on Lake Worth Christian in the District Championship game on Thursday at 6:30 at Santaluces.
